Blog #3 Privatization

Privatization as described by The NEA Higher Education Research Center is “a movement from public financing and toward private financing” (NEA 1). Privatization is one of the factors adding pressure to colleges which in return adds pressure to the students. Privatization pushes colleges to work more efficiently, resulting in students learning differently. The result? Knowledge driven learning, and touching on as much as you can becomes less of a priority with privatization

  1. The main issue you seem to be talking about in your project is the way privatization pushes up the cost of college. Whether that has a motivating or demotivating effect on students seems unclear, especially in light of Armstrong and Hamilton...

    Work with some scholarly sources and see if you can improve the focus of your paper.
